Long House
A timber house laid out in one long line, so every room gets morning light and a view of the pool.
The brief asked for a house that feels open in summer and sheltered in winter. We laid the rooms in a single line under one roof, with a timber screen that can close off the terrace.
Blackbutt cladding outside and oak inside keep the palette short. At night the house reads as a lantern from the garden.
